Two truth and one lie
« on: August 28, 2015, 10:43:29 am »
@Skiddaw fault this one !!! I decided I wouldn't  start a confessions thread but we could have a game and a laugh at the same time. Just tell us two thruth and one lie and we have to guess.

Right I will start with:

A) When I was younger I stole a teddy

B) One of my ex boyfriend fractured my arm playing football.

C)  I use to be a Charlton Athlete fc fan.

So which one do you think is the lie?

C, surely that's a lie. For all I know it's not even a real team name, but surely if we saw you in half you have Ipswich running all the way through.

I think it's A. I can't imagine you stealing a teddy @TG . Though if you did, I hope it was from someone who deserved it.  ;D

Bless yo @tea I am Ipswich through and through now, there is blue blood in my veins but I was born to Surrey and was a Crystal palace fan when I was younger Charlton athlete are actually their rivals so that is most definitely the lie, so your turn.

@Skiddaw I'm afraid i did steal a teddy but it was when i was two. I was in my buggy at the time, all my mum knows is when we got home i had this teddy which wasn't mine lol.

Now that must be unusual @TG because from the number of
times I've seen toys etc laying around in the town center and
other places, I would have thought getting home 'minus' a teddy
more likely  :D

Although on that particular day - another child did lol

Okay so my 3 are:

A) I have met Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and David Cameron but I've never met John Major.

B) I gave Stephen Fry a tiny piece of my mind when he splashed me with water by jumping in a puddle outside a theatre.

C) I was once held hostage by a patient with a crossbow in a basement room in a psychiatric hospital.

I'm going to guess B, I would hope C is the lie mind you but in your line of work anything could happen.

I think it's A.

Like @TG I'd like to think it was C but I can well imagine it isn't.

@TG and @Em are right, it's B! It wasn't Stephen Fry, it was Eddie Izzard and it was a dirty puddle.

Yeah C definitely happened - it was about 15 years ago and I had gone down to the basement to get some medical records and ended up in a glass room with 2 other women with this guy pacing up and down with his crossbow. I was really annoyed and cannot figure out how he got a crossbow into a secure hospital in the first place. My boss was the consultant psychiatrist and she was so sorry!!

Yep, John Major is the only Prime Minister since the 1980s that I haven't met. Maggie visited my workplace down in Hampshire and she was very polite I thought; Tony Blair had sweaty hands, Gordon was lovely and David I know as he's a friend of a friend.

Here's another one from me, @Em if you want to do one too, feel free.

A) When I was two I fell from a three story balcony and fractured my skull.

B)I have broke, fractured or dislocated most of my bones through the years.

C)I pulled out my two front teeth while biting on an apple.

Ouch!  :o A bit accident-prone @TG , perchance?

I'll plump for A. Though it'd be nice to think they're all lies.... :)
