more committed than before cos of exercise challenge
« on: July 27, 2015, 02:35:27 pm »
so here we are on Day 2. I feel on my way, especially as I've signed up to another physical challenge (a cycle/swim). training for a triathlon earlier in the summer kept me on the straight and narrow for a good long while. The challenge is next Sun and I'm swimming tonight and Thurs. I'm reasonably confident I can make it at least til next Sun. Meanwhile thanks to all for all the encouragement and advice. It's hugely appreciated  :vader:

Oh well done @RichCdLion;D Really glad you're still with us and that the commitment swing-o-meter is still swinging in the right direction.

Exercise is indeed one of the best crave-beating things you can do in my opinion and it sounds like you're really getting stuck into your challenge. You must tell us how it goes- and think how much quicker you'll be now that your lungs are on the way to being squeaky-clean!  :foundbeer: :foundbeer: :foundbeer:

Day 2 yes you are certainly on your way as it's further than day one, be strong and stick at it and you'll be surprised how quickly how soon it'll be month one, It's never easy but logging on here just to take your mind off some crappy craves helps too.

Good Luck :)
Last quit 15/06/15.

Yay good for you.

Im not easily impressed but Im very impressed with you training for a triathlon.

I've always loved swimming but as I got older and smoked more I needed more and more rests inbetween lengths.  SInce I quit I cannot tell you how much longer I can swim for before becoming breathless.

Keep going, we are all with you if you need us.
After far too many years I stubbed out my final cigarette on February 6 2011 at 10 pm and havent looked back since.

Huge well done from me Rich, I hope it feels good to get in a new room you should be super proud, keep doing what you are doing and slowly you will start getting into your stride. Exercise is good for the craves as well, I used It alot in the early days.
