One of the hardest days ever
« on: November 22, 2019, 07:22:06 pm »
So, I have just got through one of the toughest experiences ever.  My partners dog got really ill yesterday and lost all control of his body.  So we had to go to the vets today.  He couldn’t stay in the room but I couldn’t leave the wee dog on his own.  So I stroked his head while he drifted off.  And I broke my heart.  I didn’t want to leave him.  I could have very easily gone for a foggiest but it didn’t even cross my mind.

Oh @markmcclean1980 .... that's horrid... so very sorry to hear your news. It's the worst thing isn't it? So sad for you both. House must seem so empty today.... it doesn't matter that dear doggie had a very happy life does it? You still want them back.... many gentle hugs heading your way

And a HUGE well done for not smoking. It would have been so easy but you resisted and if you can get through an experience like that smoke-free, you can get through anything.
Finally saw sense on 8/12/13

So many mountains, so little time...

So sorry to hear the sad news.  Pleased though you felt able to stay with him until he crossed Rainbow Bridge.  Sending you and your partner hugs.
