Final post in this room :)
« on: February 12, 2019, 08:35:27 am »
So tomorrow marks 12 weeks smoke free for me.  I am so pleased to have got this far and I'm still feeling positive and happy, also I have lost 11lbs on our new healthy eating plan (the idea being that this is a permanent change and not a fad diet) in about 6 weeks. Though I will consider intermittent fasting when I hit that weight loss wall.   :)

A reminder for me to stay quit was that we had a repairman in our office last Friday and he absolutely stank of stale cigarettes and BO (the fag smell was the worse one!), when he left we had to open the windows and freeze for 1/2 hour to get rid of the smell!  >:(

App Stats:
Cigarettes avoided: 825
Money saved: £350.20
Physical condition improved: 91%
Heart disease death risk reduced to half: 22%

This site is very quiet recently, not many January quitters this year maybe?
Risk of developing Lung cancer at same level as a non smoker: 4% (I think this will take 6 years to reach 100%)
Smoked for most of my adult life (and a fair bit of my childhood!).  Managed a two year quit 2014-2016 but started again!  Quit again on 6th January 2018 and lasted 7 months!  Third quit lucky 21/11/2018!

You are doing so well, and 11 lbs lighter.  How good is that   :D

Just one foot after the other and before you know it, you will be entering the Penthouse.

Dear @Nicky40 , I'm more than ever certain that this time you'll be romping home to the Penthouse. A quarter of a year already under your belt! (which is on a smaller notch in view of your splendid weight loss  :)). A Huge Well Done from me and enjoy the complementary low-cal nibbles in the new room.  007 007 :foundbeer: :foundbeer: :foundbeer:
Finally saw sense on 8/12/13

Magnificent progress from someone who is clearly firmly in the driving seat  :foundbeer:

It is quiet here Nicky, but this place always goes through quiet spells so most of us are still here, just 'lurking'  004
There are still plenty of smokers out there to save, so if you are one, jump in- we won't bite and the water is lovely  008

This is super impressive well done.
35 years a smoker until Bastille Day 2018, now a smoker who is choosing not to smoke for the foreseeable future
