Hello again day 8
« on: October 15, 2018, 03:56:27 pm »
So, my 8th day.  Feeling good, a little bit of a cough again but just clearing lungs I imagine.

Cigs avoided = 78
Money saved = £30.80
Time won back = 7.46 hours
Smoked for most of my adult life (and a fair bit of my childhood!).  Managed a two year quit 2014-2016 but started again!  Quit again on 6th January 2018 and lasted 7 months!  Back on the wagon again now...........

Day 8 says "I will miss you forever and never see you again. I wish you a happy smoke free life. It was a pleasure to see you again, but I know it's time for you to move on with your life... "

Day 8 is all emotional now   :'(

Day 10, little bit of stress at home this week but it's becoming the norm now so I'm just batting away those I need a smoke thoughts.  Oddly missing the little cig breaks I was taking at work so instead I'm trying to do all my fitbit steps and active minutes by going for a wander round (I work in a Hotel so lots of corridors and flights of stairs).

Seeing as you are a professional @Nicky40, what is the accepted hotel standard for toilet roll positioning? @KitKat thinks it should hang on the inside next to the wall.

Hotels only put it on the outside so they can put little pointy bits on the end  ;D

Well @Nicky40 you are a big bucket of no smoking win.

I'm with @tea and put my toilet roll on the outside (husband disagrees and toilet roll is constantly being swapped round at home - very childish  ;) but yes @KitKat Hotels do like to fold the paper into a point because it looks nice  :)

Looking good Nicky
The urge to smoke at times is immensely strong, true enough.
But you Nicky are STRONGER than that urge, and there can be only one winner from this arm wrestle- and the winner is wearing your knickers  :foundbeer:

@Nicky40 well done on your 8th day and whilst that Nicotine Gremlin maybe stepping up its game remember you are in charge, it is your decision and if nothing else imagine Dory singing, "Just keep going, just keep going."
