Beware: Humour Police
« on: August 06, 2018, 07:09:33 pm »
I do not live in a particularly dodgy area. All of my neighbours I know are employed; a bank lady, a plumber, a construction materials man, a nurse, a midwife, an OT, a police administration lady, a carer, a hospital ward clerk.....

However, over the years we have had little issues. A few years ago rubbish was being 'stolen' before we got wheelie bins. Not by people from our postcode, but there was some 'good rubbish'.

My neighbour, rents the house, lovely guy who works 2 jobs construction and rubbish removal type stuff was throwing away a pair of work boots this morning and someone passing by asked him what was in the bin and he replied "just a couple of dead bodies" flippantly.

He got stopped twice by police within an hour.

He arranged for police to come back at the time I come back from work. They've already searched the house and garden. I've just also flippantly told the police that he doesn't have time to commit any murders in his home as he's grafting 6/7 days a week at some point.

It's really not funny because this is a really disproportionate police response.

Sounds rather odd that story.I know that when I was in the Cops, and that was only 4 years ago then someone making a remark about dead bodies in the bins would most certainly not be treated as you describe, and would be laughed off or fed into a vague Intel channel-no action taken, not without some other corroborating evidence and that's what i reckon, that there is more to this fella than meets the eye.

No honestly @Max414 he's lovely. Not too confident with long words when he's reading no and writing, but he's lovely. He was quite shaken by the whole thing. He has a northern accent.
