Oh yes @Not Another Puff, aim for Vera Wang. Over 15 years at c£300 per month you should be putting around £57,000 in that 'jar' (although I do recommend the jar become a bank account at around 6 months) would make a very decent wedding/house deposit.

Good for you @Not Another Puff Get back on that horse!! Do yourself a favour and get past the agony of the first month.  You CAN do this if you want it.  You’ll then realise that you can do anything.

Sorry to hear you slipped @Not Another Puff but it is so good to see that you have got straight back into it and are now on day 5.  I know I always had to take a break when I failed in the past so big respects to anyone who can get back on it straight away.  You will do this... this is your quit!

Right, I did 20 days before I slipped up last Saturday, so I really did not want to have to go through those early days again. Sunday morning I came close to buying a pack of tabs but resisted.

My withdrawl is:

My lungs are literally screaming for nicotine, all the time.
Heart palpatations.
Inability to concentrate.
Disturbed sleep patterns.

On the positive:

I can feel I have more puff than when I was smoking.
I have saved £286.
Nothing else, everything else is mindblowingly s*it.

...But it won't always be like that @Not Another Puff, and it won't be long before those positive benefits will far outweigh the negatives. Just keep asking yourself- do I really want to go through this again? And again? You know the answer is a big fat NO!!!

It's not entirely altruistic; I'm nosey and I enjoy the vicarious excitement. I'm the one who actually reads the Rush Hour Crush.
