One week to two months
« on: June 13, 2018, 04:23:43 am »
Where did that go?

Did my first long haul flight since quitting and colleague noted how nice it was to not have to wait for me trundling to the smoking area of the airport and back. Noted how good it felt to not be scrabbling for a lighter every 2 minutes (I always lost mine and barely anyone here smokes), and remembered last time I was in LA we missed the last table being seated in the nearby restaurants after a long long day of 30 hours’ travel because I had to have my fag first and we went to bed without dinner.

Hope you’re all good!  007

Quit weapon of choice: cold turkey, hot baths, this forum!

Wow!!  ;D  I didn't know airports still had smoking areas, but I'm so pleased to see you doing so well and not just doing very well, but also with a touch of class.

What does that mean @Skiddaw !??

I suppose it is a bit of an archaic expression these days @tea . It means well done/good show.

Well done @Burners I love airports as a non smoker, I can wander in the duty free shop and other shops, have lunch at leisurely pace, it's brilliant and no being desperate when you land and trying to race through customs either.  When you start to really see the benefits it definitely keeps you on track.  :foundbeer: :foundbeer:

@tea I think many/most airports are smoke free but my last flight from Bristol in 2016 had a smoking area.
Smoked for most of my adult life (and a fair bit of my childhood!).  Managed a two year quit 2014-2016 but started again!  Quit again on 6th January 2018 and lasted 7 months!  Back on the wagon again now...........
