Last day and RAGING temptation
« on: May 16, 2018, 07:09:12 pm »
*huff*

*huff*

Please can I do an obnoxious rant?

So long story short I was encouraged to replace a large portion of my role at work on the promise of a massive promotion.

I did it, ensured the new person, though less proven, was paid slightly more than I currently am and 40% more than I was at his level. Because I believe in looking after people. That's right. My direct subordinate receives SLIGHTLY more than me. Equal pay anyone?

Turns out they are giving me a much much lower position then promised, which has been revealed after I made the hire. It's worth noting I am awaiting brain surgery due to my having worked myself senseless quintrupling the size of the company.

Just one. Surely just one cigarette???

No, but you can make a voodoo doll! Is this company not worried that you might go and work for the competition?

It's dreadful that companies are STILL getting away with unequal pay.  I hope you didn't have that one because you don't need it and have done so well.  Just keep saying NOPE.  007
Smoked for most of my adult life (and a fair bit of my childhood!).  Managed a two year quit 2014-2016 but started again!  Quit again on 6th January 2018 and lasted 7 months!  New Quit date 21/11/2018

@Burners , don't give them the satisfaction of derailing your quit on top of everything else.

I think, once you've got your surgery out of the way, it's time to look for pastures new. In the meantime, you just hold your head up high and walk tall.
Finally saw sense on 8/12/13

So many mountains, so little time...
