One year...ONE YEAR....
« on: May 15, 2018, 09:47:05 pm »
I am here, nearly 4 and a half years after I first set out to quit smoking, I am here.
And it is wonderful

Yay @Mina!!!!! And thank you for the screenshot of your full post because it is bloody brilliant. You are so right, quitting is gaining on so many different levels. I’m sure your room will be ready at the penthouse shortly......you may have surprised them with your early check-in.........so just go for a dip in the pool and a sunbathe while you wait and somebody will come and get you when it’s ready. Oh, I hear that the poolside cocktails are divine.  Well done and I can’t wait to join you in a few months!

Brilliant post @Mina and so very true.  I'm determined to re enter the Penthouse next year (and stay there this time!).  Posts like yours really do help me keep that determination.  007
Smoked for most of my adult life (and a fair bit of my childhood!).  Managed a two year quit 2014-2016 but started again!  Quit again on 6th January 2018 and lasted 7 months!  Back on the wagon again now...........

I knew you'd be walking with pride up those marble steps when the time was right @Mina , and here you are you wonderful person.  ;D 008 007

There's chocolate cake in your freshly- painted suite and (of course) a gold plated telescope in the observatory. Not that you need to watch the stars being as you already are one.  :)

Very well done @Mina ,remember posting this, pity we had to wait until health started playing up until we saw there was no magic pill to cover smoking, it just had to go, but you can now see and feel the difference, im following in your footsteps.010

What a fantastic post! Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
Non-smoking life commenced: 19th April 2018.
Smoking history: 17 years' chainsmoking - 10 v quiet day, 20 typical, 40 easy on a boozy night - and there were many, many boozy nights. Weapon of choice: roll ups.
