Another point is that failure is not much evident on this site; and people do in truth fail,have to restart,give up quitting for a year etc so maybe the success that binds a lot of quitters together here,though welcome and magnificent ,also slightly deters those who are most fearful of failure who look and see that the vast majority on here seem to succeed.

That’s a valid point Max. It’s a shame that the pathetic ramblings of some of us in our early quits aren’t available to view on this forum. One of my own posts about addiction was so personal and revealing (revealing the sad weak person that I was), that I asked a moderator to delete it! It’s definately the inter action between fellow strugglers that helps a quit to succeed.  My posting hopefully shows that it can be done but was maybe a trifle self indulgent
