On the Eve of something great
« on: February 22, 2018, 01:36:05 pm »
Soooooo I might be on the eve of a momentous occasion- my first smoke free birthday since I was 15 years of age (save for when I was pregnant with the girls). That’s almost 3 decades of birthdays (no adding up please!) where I have been smoking or hiding the fact that I was smoking. It feels so good to be heading into tomorrow and the weekend actually looking forward to my birthday celebrations rather than thinking that they would just get in the way of smoking. I can actually hug friends without worrying whether they can smell smoke on me. I can enjoy a lazy weekend birthday lunch in a pub without needing to sneak outside for a puff.  I love my new life.  Happy birthday to me. Best present I could have given myself.

Great post @Enough42 Enjoy your weekend and have a fantastic smoke free birthday  :foundbeer:  008
Smoked for most of my adult life (and a fair bit of my childhood!).  Managed a two year quit 2014-2016 but started again!  Quit again on 6th January 2018 and lasted 7 months!  Back on the wagon again now...........
