22 days - I have surprised myself!
« on: January 28, 2018, 11:25:05 am »
So today marks the start of week 4 for me, I am so pleased.  Especially as I have the hangover from hell this morning and I did not smoke last night. There was actually only one smoker in the end (that I noticed) and I did not like the smell of him at all, it reminded me of why I do not want to smoke! Also as I spent over an hour straightening my unruly annoying curly hair the thought of going outside was horrifying! As I smoker I would have left it curly so that I could pop outside in the rain with no bother.

I used the vape once, and that was when I got home with my 'One more drink before bed' so I didn't really need to have taken it out with me but I'm glad I had it just in case.

Anyway, thats another week gone, well done to me and to @Gerti1 and everyone else at different quit stages. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.  :foundbeer:

Good on you Nicky, I have read that urges can rear up in trigger places and after visiting that trigger place 3 times it dies away, I am not sure if others agree but it does make sense. You have done so well as CT fills me with fear so you are an awesome woman. My lemon cake is in the oven and this little bird is starting swimming tomorrow kk
I am going to do this
Quit 6th January 2018

Yep, my first night out on the drink I overdid it a tad and boy did I pay for it!  Mind you, it didn't last as long so I figured that quitting the fags was having a positive effect on the hangover as well!

Three weeks down and heading towards that magic first month, you really are getting well into your stride now hon!  Enjoy your Netflix and recover from your excesses, a celebration was definitely deserved!

Oh I don't know the Grimm series.  Worth a watch? We're busy watching The Crown at the moment and are really enjoying it notwithstanding our backgrounds.

@Enough42  it would depend if you like sci fi/horror type stuff (though its not scary, more like Buffy but with a male lead character).

I am feeling a bit better now, have had a bubble bath and eaten dinner.  Thank you for all your supportive replies today.  007

Glad to see you have had a good weekend Nicky you deserve it.
Today I have started to feel ever so slightly 'normal' where my concentration seems better and I feel enthusiastic !!! I have quit a number of times and always say the 4 week mark is a turning point for my sanity so I think what I am feeling is on par. I am especially pleased as I have used a lower strength patch this time and had an awful lot of mind games that have felt continuous for the past 3 weeks :)
I am going to do this
Quit 6th January 2018

@Gerti1 I'm so pleased to see that you are starting to feel better.  This morning I was thinking about those of us (most have us) that have quit before for a good amount of time and wondering when we start again why don't we seem to remember how hard it was to stop in the first place before we reach for the cigarettes?  This time I will try to keep that in my mind.
