I couldn't do it now....

I think I also always had a built-in streak of caution despite my mad moments. I was one of those who could screech to a halt on the brink, if you know what I mean. Self preservation.  :)
Finally saw sense on 8/12/13

So many mountains, so little time...

I think a 10 year old single malt might be the more appropriate.
