Onwards and upwards
« on: January 04, 2018, 09:21:20 am »
I should have posted this yesterday but between being back at work, Panto and being unwell I didn’t get a chance to get on yesterday.  So I’m now into month 4, today is day 94 of not smoking and I couldn’t be more proud of myself.  Of course I am still on guard but so far so good.
I had the guy out from the mortgage company doing the valuation this week so things are moving in the right direction in terms of buying my house.  This is another incentive to stay smoke free as I want to be an outright home owner ASAP.  Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well and I get the mortgage.
My Aunt hasn’t been too well but we keep up hope.  She is a fighter and will keep going as long as she can.
Anyway, better get myself back to work.

Doesn't time fly, month 4 already, well done @markmcclean1980

So hope you get the mortgage, they will no doubt put some conditions on it, but they always do. I also hope your Aunt will improve soon and fight on.

Take care

Great stuff @markmcclean1980 and thanks for the coupe of days of partying in the month 3 room.  Clearly it took its toll on you if you've not been well! I'm looking forward to a bit of recuperation before we share rooms again but oh no I think @Glasgowgal is about to join me in the month 3 room and although she is/was planning on a dry January I think she may be a bad influence on me!  008

Well done @markmcclean1980 you have done so well to get through Christmas and Panto season.  Fingers crossed all went well with the mortgage advisor and you will be a homeowner before too long.
Sorry things arent looking so great for your Aunty but medicine is improving all the time so who knows what the future may bring for her.
After far too many years I stubbed out my final cigarette on February 6 2011 at 10 pm and havent looked back since.

Our favourite panto dame takes up residence in the Month 4 room?  Even if you're doing Dry January, raise a metaphorical glass peeps! 008

I know that historically times of celebration and times of stress have been tough for you to hold on to your quit so to have come through Christmas/New Year as well as panto is a wonderful achievement and I hope you are suitably proud of yourself!

My heart goes out to your aunt and her nearest and dearest, there is no foolproof method for getting through these dark and difficult days but I shall continue to pray for peace and comfort for you all and that, if the time comes, the tide will go out gently and calmly.  Much love to you and yours hon xxx
