Day three
« on: December 02, 2017, 09:45:43 am »
Morning everyone so day three. This morning for the first time I had some pretty bad cravings, no idea why as I was fine last night when usually on Friday evenings I will have a few drinks and smoke quite a bit.

Been awake since 7 but just watching tv in bed to avoid getting up and wanting a cig more. I will start on the cleaning straight away I think and avoid the morning coffee.
Smoked for most of my adult life (and a fair bit of my childhood!).  Managed a two year quit 2014-2016 but started again!  Quit again on 6th January 2018 and lasted 7 months!  Back on the wagon again now...........

Cliche it may be but whilst Day Three tends to be a difficult one, once you're through it you're through the worst of it.

You can do my cleaning as well @Nicky40  :)

Well done @Nicky40 ,day 3 was my worst, i paced up and down for 2 hours and was climbing the wall, i did have 2 cigs that day as pain in my stomach and headache got too much and spray wasn't helping. I had to use all my willpower not to smoke more than two that day..It did get easier after that and on day 6 decided there would be no more cigs in the house for just in case, and i havent looked back..I was 30 a day for 40 years with 2 year quit 15 years ago,  so i know what your going through. The patches are great and use what ever else you can get, just keep going, your no alone.
Quit 16th November 2017.
Last smoke 21st November 2017.
Trigger word...LEG.

Hang in there @Nicky40 I remember those early days very clearly as being completely insane with cravings. I seriously couldn't even look at my husband otherwise he would have been turned into dust by my eyes.  He basically just stayed in our front room and me in the kitchen.  Getting out of the house for a walk was also helpful plus keeping really busy but that was also difficult because I literally couldn't think of anything but smoking a cigarette.  Stick with it. One minute, one hour, one craving at a time and you will get there......as you well know from your previous quit.

Day 3 seems to be the nightmare for everyone. Do whatever you need to do to get through @Nicky40 one hour at a time and before you know it the day will be over.  Hang in there, you got this.
