My Little Aussie darling, I for one, are very proud of you 008

You have taken this challenge on to improve your well being and be the best you can be and that is a credit to you and I bet there are a few here who are thinking "maybe I should do something to improve my fitness" I know I am.

Go @Lostie

Went to exercise today and they are still trying to kill me ;D  We have a new instructor who keeps asking me questions and I lose count of where I am and get even more out of breath. So now I've got 3 telling me how good I am doing and then adding, just a few more. They are even giving me weights with sit stands. I have never had more than 1kg on my ankles for lift ups and last week they gave me 2kg, today 2 1/2.

Hope you are still strong with your quit Mina, because that's the only reason I went back today :-\

They asked if I would be there on Wednesday. I said they would have to wait and see (because I don't know myself) :)

Lostie, this all sounds fab appreciate it will hurt at the time but little and often I bet will have a massive impact :D

Little and often through very slight changes has worked for me, just parking at the far end of the supermarket car park will do you good, more spaces too :p. I definitely became less fit after I quit, weight and bizarrely less walking (was a fair trip for me to get out of the office to have a smoke back in the day)

Thought I'd bring this thread up to date. After the last post, I didn't go back!  Found it too much and a few weeks later the physio rang me and asked if I wanted a one on one appointment. I told him I thought they were pushing me too much too soon and exactly what I thought. Anyway I did go back to the exercises and managed to get through all the exercises. On the walk I usually did 5 laps with two stops. Once I did 6 laps with one break.

Checking back on here I said I could only walk 310 metres and that is what I was told, but when I did the next 6 minute assessment last week I was very surprised when he told me I had walked 321 metres. Don't know why he didn't tell me that. Anyway on the assessment I walked 368 metres in the 6 minutes and not one stop at all. I was really out of breath after and amazed I didn't stop. If I had, I knew that would use up about 1 minute for me to get my breath back.  I have been managing all the exercises every week since I went back.

My oxygen levels are lower than before after exercising, so that isn't the best.

All in all, I am pleased with the increase of nearly 50 metres. In the past I only increased by about 30 metres. I have been doing the exercises at home (not every day though).  I am having a couple of weeks break because I need to do things and then back again and try to get up to 400 metres, where I was before.
