I'm really sorry, but it was sunny when I left the house so I bought garden stuff and now of course it's starting to rain. May Day 22 be a good one for you and hopefully sunny too.

Motivation this time was a reality check visit to the Docs, wasn't feeling too good, but not sure why, and had just lost my best mate, died of a heart attack aged 51 so thought I'd just get a check up. My blood pressure reading was way too high, 3 visits in a row I was over 166/90, highest being 180/100....to put it mildly I was terrified....give me the drugs Doc I begged....
'Do you think you can stop smoking?' , she asked me, 'because that might just do it'
'If I have to, of course I can...' a little more confidently than I felt!

I stopped 3 and half weeks ago
After a week, 160/90
Still high so I stopped the patches
After 2 weeks 150/85
Today....135/73
 008
 007
That is pretty much awesome!

Really glad that quitting has worked in the BP dept too @Mina. Mine went up!!  ::) It was 203/105 at the highest point. I thought the surgery nurse was going to call for an ambulance. Mind you, I have a family history and unfortunately, nothing lifestyle-related made any difference so have resigned myself to meds. At least these days it's fairly well controlled which is as good as it gets with me.

You're doing SO well!  :foundbeer: :foundbeer: :foundbeer:

......once you consider it to be non-negotiable, it becomes kind of easy! Sadly it took me far too long to get there, but I have no doubt now I am done with smoking  007 008
