Day 3 again.....
« on: March 29, 2017, 12:09:35 pm »
I've had more quit attempts than I care to remember. From 40 a day for 27 years I have reduced to smoking after 5pm for a good 6 months now (no more than 5 per evening). It means I'm not that angry during the day but a bit of a demon in the evenings!!!

Jogging helps, and going to bed early in these early days. And definitely no alcohol for a long time yet as it's such a trigger for me.

Good luck to everyone in those early difficult days..

Quit date 27th March 2017.

Welcome from me. If you've gone from over 40 a day to 5 at evenings, boy I wish I could have done that. The best I could do was get down to 12 a day and then slowly up again. Congratulations :)

Congratulations on making the leap and remember one cigarette can also do harm, so you don't want to go there again. ;)  One day at a time and just stick at it and remember NOPE Not One Puff Ever.

I must add that I have been smoke free for over 4 years now and saved heaps and heaps of money 006

Well done @Hopeful MBG and may I say what a pleasure it is to meet you.  ;D

Thanks for allowing us to share the journey with you and I hope we can make things a little easier (if only by distracting you). You're doing brilliantly- just take care of the seconds and before you know it, you'll be looking back over the weeks and months.  :)
Finally saw sense on 8/12/13

Just keep going; just keep going as I have every faith you will crack it. Any relapse is just a practice run for the real thing.

I never thought I'd do it but when you are ready it might seem hard but every minute, hour, day, week or month that passes become victories against the nicotine demon and you can see you are winning the war.  008 celebrate each hurdle as a reminder of how far you have come.
Nicotine free since 22nd August, 2015

@Max414  thanks very much, my danger zone is fast approaching, its the 2-4 weeks  zone when the novelty wears off. I'm ready this time tho and have cut out all alcohol for the time being as thats my worst trigger for just having one!
