Day 26 now and still going well.
« on: February 05, 2017, 07:29:52 pm »
Hiya... Its now 26 days since I stopped on 10th January and I hope that I will be off them for good. I am still thinking about a smoke fairly often but also finding it easier to distract myself and go on to something else. Often that 'something else' is food and that is a bit of a concern as I am hugely overweight. But I am winning this fight so when I consider I have won I will attack the weight problem.

Next Friday it will be a full calendar month since the quit and I never ever thought I would ever be typing that in a message.

Cheers

Nigel

Fabulous news well done you. I am also eating an awful lot but I try and combat it by walking it off. Keep it up as you have done the hardest part.
I am going to do this
Quit 6th January 2018

As @Max414 says, we really are truly proud of you @Nigalius and I hope you're equally and suitably proud of yourself for your tremendous achievement. However committed you are it takes courage and grit, and you clearly have a powerful measure of both. Once you have a month under your belt you'll be surprised how time seems to suddenly speed up again and before you know it you'll be celebrating 1/4 of a year.  ;D :foundbeer: :foundbeer: :foundbeer:

We shall be ringing you into the Penthouse next January I am certain!  008

How is dear dog? Any good walks yet?  :)
Finally saw sense on 8/12/13

You're getting closer and closer to your personal best. When you were first dipping your toe in and thinking about giving it a try you were so tentative and you didn't seem confident at all, but you are doing really well and it will soon be a whole month.

Looking good mate, looking damn good!

The quitting munchies are pretty much a given but, as you say, one battle at a time.  Can't wait for your one month post, I hope you're planning some serious treats to celebrate that one!
