Day 10 of the quit is finished
« on: January 21, 2017, 02:43:01 am »
Well, thats day 10 ended and I am feeling pretty pleased with myself. In just a few short days my cough has improved 95% and I can smell things better that I used to. I do expect my taste to be next.

I still get the urge to light up but those urges are not so strong now and also less frequent. Its hard to explain but if I get an urge I sit back and say to myself, why should I smoke, I am a non smoker now. Its funny sometimes now because when I get an urge I look round on my computer table for a second or two looking for my tobacco then realise I dont need it.

I now want to start excersising more. I have a dok here and instead of just letting him out into the pen I will be better taking him for walks which will of course help me at the same time.

I'll keep this one short as its now 02.43 and I should be getting to bed soon.

Cheers

Nigel

Oh yes, an excellent plan @Nigalius !!  ;D

Such a lovely day today and if it is as sunny where you are as it is here I think a walk with the dog would be about as splendid as life gets.
Finally saw sense on 8/12/13

DOUBLE DIGITS!!!
Check you out, coughing less, feeling better and rapidly gaining on your 2 week milestone - WAY TO GO!!!

Getting out for walks with the dog will do you both the world of good, not just healthwise but I reckon it will also pay dividends as regards your general wellbeing, particularly where your anxiety attacks are concerned.  Let us know how you get on and do share a pic of your four pawed furry friend, we're suckers for cute pets here.

Afraid did not get to walk the dog as I am still busy totally cleaning all surfaces indoors from nicotine stains. But I can see a walk coming up tomorrow if the forecast is correct.
