A Knitting Recipe ;D
« on: January 02, 2017, 07:57:35 pm »

Now I haven't finished yet, but this one is a very easy knitting recipe for keeping itchy fingers busy.

I'm using Aran wool and 6mm pins, but you could use chunky wool with 10mm pins or normal double knitting with 4 or 5mm pins.

It's 127 stitches to cast on - 4 rows of knit stitch. Then:
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: * knit 1, (knit 2 together) x 3, (yarn over, knit 1) x 5, yarn over knit two together, (knit 2 together) x 2, repeat from *, knit the last 1
Row 4: Knit

Keep following until it gets as big as you want it.

A have always loved that pattern. I used it for baby jackets. My Aunty  used that pattern with alternating pastel colours. I'm sure she made me a jumper when I was small.  Isn't it funny how something you like can last a life time :)

Oh how I wish I could knit... perhaps it'll go on my ever growing list of things I intend to do.  :)
