Quitting with Cranberry Juice?

I was just having a hunt around for any new tips or tricks to help people with their quits and I came across a few things which mentioned cranberry juice. Apparently acidic juices help to take the edge off of cravings by neutralising any nicotine in your body and stabilising your blood sugar. Therefore if you use cranberry juice to sip for cravings in the first few days they think that it will take the edge off.

Has anybody ever tried it? Would anybody be prepared to be a guinea pig?

It's dead good for cystitis. You could kill two birds with one stone.  :)
