200 Days
« on: April 19, 2015, 09:49:33 am »
I just realised that yesterday was my 200th day of not smoking. I like not smoking and am so pleased I found you guys and learnt about NOPE because I have to admit, I do get the occasional "one wouldn't hurt" thought but I know that is just not an option any more.  A new challenge begins tomorrow - the diet!

Well Done That Girl!!!  :D :D :D

Sally, 200 days is a FANTASTIC achievement and you're quite righ to be extremely proud of yourself. I hope you'll reward yourself suitably? You certainly deserve to. Those fleeting 'one won't hurt' thoughts are just Nic's last, desperate attempt to pull you back into servitude and I know you won't succumb. Eventually you'll reach the point where it won't happen at all.

As for the diet- I'm sure you'll soon shed any weight you've gained over the past 200 days.  With the better weather it's easier to be active and after all, if you can quit smoking you can do anything.  :)
Finally saw sense on 8/12/13

WOOHOO, YOU DA WOMAN!!!!
Two centuries in the bag already, go girl go!!! :D :D :D

You're moving into the fast lane now Sally, the milestones start to slip past ever more quickly and you'll be arriving at the Penthouse gates before you know it!  At this point you've got this sussed, what remains to be done is really a matter of keeping your guard up and when the stinky little oik comes whispering his smelly nothings (as he will, he's always looking to catch you at a weak moment) be ready to whack him the second he shows up - belt him out of the park, don't give him time to talk and you'll stay free forever.

Wow, 200 days!! More than halfway up that hill to the penthouse suite and you've done it with such grace and aplomb. I am sure that the diet will be just as successful. x

Thank you everybody for your lovely messages.  Never thought I'd get this far, and certainly wouldn't be here without your support.

The diet is delayed by a week, I have no will power.  I failed on my very first fast day - there were Krispy Kreme doughnuts for somebody's birthday at work and it would have been rude not to have one!

PS Congrats to Malvin too on 200 days.

Honey, I would definitely have grabbed one too - I'm a sucker for Krispy Kreme!  Unfortunately for me, they simply don't exist down here  :(

I don't know why but the smell of those Krispy Kreme things really turns my stomach. I didn't used to be able to go near it in Selfridges, closest I got was about 20 feet away. It really nauseates me. But I don't mind donuts, even the ones freshly made in the vans, the ring ones covered in sugar, they don't leave me running for the exit worrying about losing my tummy. I will even eat a jam donut once in a blue moon (admittedly I'm not that keen, I'd rather have something savoury like a bag of Twiglets).

Since I've given up I've been eating butter mints,,I buy the super market ones cheap as chips ,and always seemed to help me,I suppose what ever gets you through the craving ,you can worry about the diet later ,never been a donut person but partial to fresh cream cakes lol

Nowt wrong with a cream cake Alan, in fact I would say they should form a regular part of your recovery! ;)
