Half a year
« on: February 24, 2016, 06:50:07 pm »
Not quite sure whether six months or half a year sounds best but despite that bl**** Nicotine Gremlin being a nuisance a couple of weeks back, I am chuffed to have made it thus far.

I would have posted two days ago but for some obscure reason my telephone provider lost/misplaced my telephone number so consequently the internet didn't know which line to travel down. Consequently, NO INTERNET! Having got it back I clean forgot about this news.

Dory has been my little saviour whilst applying my own slant - Just keep quitting;Just keep quitting and the main other reminder NOPE - Not One Puff Ever.

Each and everyone of us on here have had days when NG grows horns and tries to turn to the dark side but you have to remember the force within is greater.

If I can do it, so can you...

Well done Indigo!!

Six months, 1/2 year, 182.5 days - does it really matter?
It's the fact you've held on that matters  8)
Finally quit after 35 years & several attempts.
Used Champix this time and it worked a treat!!
Last smoke 1 Nov 2013 and still going strong :)

YAAAAAYYY OUR @Indigo Warrior !!! ;D ;D ;D :foundbeer: :foundbeer: :foundbeer:

How fantastic is that? I bet when you look back at your first faltering steps it doesn't seem possible you could have come so far already. And with such style and aplomb too. You've fought those demons and won every battle and I have no doubt that you'll keep that up all the way to the Penthouse (and you can see it on the horizon very clearly now)... :) :) :)

I'm not half looking forward to cheering you home   and it'll get easier and easier from now onwards. In the meantime, you take a breather, enjoy that fantastic view and make sure you sink a few celebratory swifties.  :D
Finally saw sense on 8/12/13

So many mountains, so little time...

:foundbeer: :foundbeer: :foundbeer: WOOHOO FOR LITTLE BLUE!!!! :foundbeer: :foundbeer: :foundbeer:
Six whole months since you said ENOUGH and declared war on our stinky nemesis - that's AWESOME!!!!!!!!

You've done so amazingly well and been such a wonderful member of this community, I couldn't be more chuffed!

Despite internet hiccups, etc I hope you have marked the occasion suitably and treated yourself - you certainly deserve it!

From here on things speed up considerably and you'll be travelling up the driveway to the Penthouse before you know it.  Just keep on keeping on hon, beware any sneaky last ditch attempts by the enemy to get you back under his smelly yellow thumb (by this time he's pretty desperate and knows that catching you unawares when your guard is down is really his only chance) and you'll be celebrating your first year in style

Bloody well done @Indigo Warrior

6 months, 26 weeks, half a year whichever way you look at it is an amazing achievement.
After far too many years I stubbed out my final cigarette on February 6 2011 at 10 pm and havent looked back since.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but you're halfway to the penthouse and I'm really proud for you little blue!! Have you treated yourself to anything nice to mark the occasion?
