6 Months!!!
« on: February 16, 2016, 01:36:07 pm »
Hello everyone. Long time no, nothing....

I hope you are all well. I never thought I would be on here telling everyone that I have now not had a fag in over 6 months, but here I am....mad really. Sadly, I found out that I had a stroke a few months ago, so I am very glad that I did quit, and now will or could never go back.....6 months smoke free, and I am finally coming to terms with the fact that I wont ever have another one....good stuff....

Congratulations on the 6 months :foundbeer:  Sorry to hear you had a stroke.  Was it one of those sneaky ones that you find out after?  I remember my Dad got up one morning and just felt strange and his left side was a bit funny. When he went to the Doctors they told him he had, had a small stroke.  Hope all is well with you now and it is so good you have quit smoking already :)

It's a powerfully good feeling to be free isn't it @lloydyd;D

I'm very glad to hear your stroke was a relatively mild one and that you've made a good recovery. As for rattling- never you mind mate. We can use you as a maraca.  ;)

Thanks so much. It actually wasnt easy. You would think hearing I had a stroke would make me never want another....but I was so nervous and worried, it was really tough....But I just couldnt. I was already 4 months in so really couldnt bare the thought of starting again....

I can well imagine @lloydyd . It's times like that when the urge to smoke is at it's worse isn't it? Well done indeed for resisting and holding on.
