Double digits
« on: January 10, 2016, 09:31:58 pm »
Well guys made it through the weekend to day 10. No cigarettes or alcohol at all.

It was really difficult out with friends going for a meal and then a mini bar crawl. I stuck to mocktails and completely ignored the smoking areas and the smell (I still find the smell of smoke really nice).

Also my sense of taste and smell has come back massively and I'm sleeping like a log every night so all in all very positive.

Well done to my other new year's day quitters @RichCdLion and @Debbie !

Great news Kirstee you are a force to be reckoned with. Never had any doubt you would get thru the weekend. So group hug for us newbies and may next week be kind to us x

Well done kirstie! I am also in the double digits! Day 10 today!
I also went for dinner and to the pub at the weekend (I haven't given up alcohol though!) and was surprised at how well I coped with it all! We actually sat in the smoking area for half an hour in one pub as there was no seats inside and we just wanted to sit for a bit. I just sat with my wine and e-cig and I was actually ok with it! (Agree the smell of fresh smoke is annoyingly nice!)  It's not a situation I will be putting myself in on a regular basis though just in case!  :)

I have a gut feeling that you're all heading straight for the Penthouse.... :)

Well done @kirstiedee - that is a really splendid achievement and having survived a night out and weekend away once it will never be as hard again.  ;D May your week fly by and be full of lovely things.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't climb a ladder with a bell in both hands...

Quit date: 01/10/2014
Smoked for 22 years sadly...

I think a well done is due to all the DD's  8)

You might find it hard to believe, but the withdrawal symptoms do eventually subside.
Finally quit after 35 years & several attempts.
Used Champix this time and it worked a treat!!
Last smoke 1 Nov 2013 and still going strong :)
